Job summary

WVU Medicine is seeking a Lead CRNA to oversee daily CRNA operations, collaborate with anesthesiology leadership, and support staff development. The role includes supervising a subset of CRNAs, guiding performance, and coordinating case distribution with managers and physicians.

The Lead CRNA will foster professional growth through goal setting, continuing education, and performance management, while ensuring adherence to department and regulatory standards across the anesthesia team.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse, and APRN (Nurse Anesthetist) in the State of West Virginia is required.
• Board Certified or Recertified by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
• 2 years’ experience as a CRNA

Responsibilities

• Maintain competence in airway management and use of airway adjuncts.
• Perform pre-anesthetic evaluation and assist in selection of anesthetic agents.
• Administerial anesthesia plans and techniques including IV access, arterial punctures, and monitoring.
• Monitor patient responses and manage induction, maintenance, and emergence of anesthesia.
• Document patient status in anesthesia records and ensure safety checks on equipment.
