Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory (FMP) is seeking a Work Group Leader at the Kesselring Site in West Milton, NY. The role focuses on leading daily activities of skilled trades, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and reliable operation of nuclear systems.

You will coordinate multi-trade teams, review technical work packages, and communicate risks and resource needs to management in a mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years relevant experience.
• Associates degree + 3+ years relevant experience.
• Journeyman papers + 3+ years relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree + 1+ year relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily work activities across multiple skilled trades.
• Oversee maintenance, modification and installation on high-pressure steam and radiological piping systems.
• Plan, schedule and prioritize work based on manpower, system criticality and project timelines.
• Ensure compliance with nuclear, radiological, safety and QA requirements.
• Review, validate and approve technical work documents and packages prior to field execution.
• Serve as liaison between craft personnel and management.
