Job summary

CommonSpirit Health seeks a Critical Care ED Educator RN to elevate clinical teams and nursing practice in high-acuity settings. You will oversee drills, interdisciplinary briefings, and educational initiatives aligned with patient safety goals.

Role requires advanced critical thinking, strong project management, and the ability to drive cross-functional teams toward consensus, with a focus on perioperative and perinatal standards and change leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
• Active Registered Nurse license in California.
• 3–5 years clinical experience in Critical Care and/or Emergency Services.
• Certified as a Basic Life Support Instructor (AHA).
• Strong communication, organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual needs assessments with CC/ED leadership to design education programs.
• Facilitate onboarding, ongoing specialty training and high-risk competency validations.
• Drive critical care/ED safety initiatives and report outcomes to leadership.
• Lead or support performance improvement projects with data analysis.
• Serve as SME in committees and rounds, promoting interdisciplinary learning.
• Model evidence-based practice and ensure materials reflect current standards.
