Toast Capital is seeking a senior credit risk professional to shape and refine risk strategy for new and existing lending products. You will partner with Data Science and Engineering to build, test, and monitor AI-enabled decisioning models, balancing risk and growth across a growing portfolio.

You will analyze portfolios, run experiments, and support risk-based pricing while collaborating across Risk, Product, and Operations.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in retail/consumer/SMB credit risk or strategy.
• Experience growing a lending business and hands on experience in credit strategy is required.
• Ability and experience in writing credit memos and credit decision and strategy documentation.
• Experience applying AI or LLM tools to improve analytical workflows, operational processes, or decision support.
• Working knowledge of model governance, explainability and fair lending in automated credit decisioning.

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

• 5+ years in retail/consumer/SMB credit risk or strategy, preferably in fintech or banking
• Past experience in growing a lending business and hands on experience in credit strategy is required
• Ability and experience in writing credit memos and credit decision and strategy documentation
• Experience applying AI or LLM tools to improve analytical workflows, operational processes, or decision support
• Advanced SQL and Python/R, with Looker/Tableau/Hex or similar; familiarity with statistical modeling and A/B testing
• Working knowledge of model governance, explainability and fair lending in automated credit decisioning
• Masters Degree or higher in a quantitative field (Mathematics/Statistics/Economics/OR/Business)
• Ability to influence a cross-functional, non-hierarchical environment to drive progress across Risk, Engineering, Data Science and Product

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits. You can learn more about how we align pay with local labor markets in our Geographic Pay Zone Philosophy.

• Zone A: $105,000—$168,000 USD
• Zone B: $91,000—$146,000 USD
• Zone C: $82,000—$131,000 USD
