Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Two years of corrections, law enforcement, or related experience.
• Associate/Bachelor's degrees may substitute for experience per DJJ rules.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise institutional operations and a shift in the absence of a Shift Captain.
• Monitor DJJ juveniles and disciplinary issues; co-lead counseling sessions.
• Maintain shift logs and incident reports; assist youths with procedures.
• Provide guidance and informal counseling to Correctional Officers; ensure youth rights and safety.
• Transport juveniles as needed and coordinate with staff during trainings.
