Job summary

Synechron, a global consulting firm, seeks a Lead Software Engineer in Seattle to guide software delivery across initiatives. You’ll work with architects, design prototypes, and produce UML models while overseeing multiple projects and ensuring quality and timely releases.

The role requires strong Java/J2EE, Spring, RESTful services, and experience with large-scale enterprise apps. Hybrid work options and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, SQL in enterprise apps.
• Strong OO design and programming skills in Java.
• RESTful services using Spring Framework, Spring Boot; SOAP Webservices.
• Kafka for online data publishing/consuming; Junit tests; performance tuning.
• Oracle SQL/PLSQL and NoSQL Cassandra; IDEs like Eclipse/IntelliJ; Maven, Git.
• CI/CD pipelines, Splunk, SOAP UI; familiarity with high-volume distributed systems.
• Experience with Agile software development and SDLC; TDD knowledge.

The Software Engineers are involved in every release, every project, and in all the phases of SDLC like Analysis, Technical Design, Development, Testing and Deployment. The Lead Software Engineer role is to supervise and develop software to ensure delivery of Initiatives for specific applications or application group

Additional Informat ion

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Seattle, WA is $110k - $115k/year & benefits (see below

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with line of business and architects to provide implementation solutions to protect various software applications.
• Be able to create a prototype to prove the design.
• Preparing UML diagrams to describe the current state of the application in terms of these parameters and also describes the future state.
• At every step the Lead Engineer reviews project artifacts to ensure that the application suites interests are adequately addressed.
• This includes supervising initiatives in parallel from a Software development standpoint to ensure applications are engaged in correct processes resulting in stable, quality deliverables. Develops, enhances, tests, supports, maintains and debugs software applications that support business units or support functions.
• A senior member of the technical team responsible for assisting senior business leaders and management.
• May provide strategic technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives.
• Utilizes in-depth knowledge of technological alternatives and business system requirements to recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization.
• Leads or has responsibility for estimation of effort for software application for one or more programmers.
• Coordinates collaboration with external programming teams to deliver software on time and within budget.
• Provides feedback and technical guidance to project managers on issues of critical importance to achieving business objectives.

Requirements:

• Experience developing with the following language sand libraries: Java, Spring Framework, SQL
• Hands on working experience to develop the mission critical, large scale, high-volume enterprise & distributed applications by using Java/J2EE.Angular version
• Strong understanding of OO design and having strong programming skills with Java
• Knowledge of using one or multiple J2EEapplication servers.
• Strong experience on Java development of RESTful Services using the Spring Framework, Spring Boot and SOAP Webservices.
• Experience with Apache Kafka for online data publishing and consuming.
• Experience on Junit Test cases development, Performance Testing, Optimization and Code analysis.
• Experience of using Relational Oracle SQL/PLSQL and No SQL distributed Cassandra DB Technologies.
• Strong experience on using Development tools like Eclipse/IntelliJ IDE's, Maven, GIT, Bit Bucket, CI/CD pipelines, Splunk and SOAP UI.
• Experience in building of high volume, scalable, available & distributed Technologies.
• Experience on standard development design patterns of Creational, Behavioral & ; JEE.
• Experience on handling of cross functional issues by coordinating with distributed development teams across the regions.
• Experience with development models such as Agile and SDLC Knowledge of test driven development.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and adapt toa constantly changing environment to meet the release deliverables
