Job summary

Homestead Studio is seeking a Lead Copywriter to oversee the day-to-day success of our copy team. You’ll manage 8–10 writers, coach them, ensure quality, balance workloads, and drive AI-enabled performance across email and landing page copy.

Reporting to the Creative Director, you’ll focus on execution, team development, and rapid problem solving in a fast-paced, fully remote agency environment. You’ll mentor writers and sustain high standards while delivering measurable results.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of copywriting experience within eCommerce or DTC marketing, including agency experience.
• 2+ years of experience leading or managing a team of copywriters.
• Proven ability to balance workload, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines.
• Strong portfolio across email, SMS, landing pages, and performance marketing.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the copy team through coaching, accountability, and clear communication.
• Directly manage a team of 8–10 copywriters at launch.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, provide ongoing feedback, and support professional growth.
• Maintain high standards across copy deliverables and ensure brand voice consistency.
• Partner with Strategists and Project Managers to keep projects on track.
• Coach writers on using AI to improve efficiency and quality.
