The University of Texas at El Paso seeks a motivated administrative coordinator for the Honors Program in El Paso, on-site. Under limited supervision, you will coordinate communications, events, and reporting, supporting the UHP Manager and Faculty Director.

Responsibilities include planning welcome and graduation events, maintaining records, generating management reports, and ensuring compliance with university policies while using Microsoft Office and institutional systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

Position Information

Hiring Department: Honors Program

Reports To: University Honors Program Manager

Job Location: El Paso, Texas (On Site)

Posting End Date: Open until filled. This posting may close once a sufficient number of qualified applications have been received.

Hours: 40 hours per week, standard Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm.

FLSA status: Exempt

Earliest Start Date: As soon as possible.

Salary: $40,480 Annually.

Position Summary

Under limited supervision, provides coordinating services, keeps official records, and executes administrative policies determined by or in conjunction with other officials, within area of assigned responsibility. Serves as University Honors Program (UHP) key support for coordinating communication across stakeholders and partners at the university, including faculty, staff, and students.

Planning and coordination of student welcome events, capstone events, and graduation-related events.

Frontline student support for tracking High Impact Practice participation in university systems (such as Minetracker).

Maintaining scheduling and communication around admission to the UHP each term, in collaboration with the leaders in each college.

Providing direct support to the UHP Program Manager and the Faculty Director of the UHP, as needed.

Coordinating meetings of the University Honors Faculty Council, the Peer Mentors, and the Faculty Honors Fellows.

Coordinating the preparation of management and productivity reports and studies.

Creating documents and materials that follow organizational standards and branding.

Coordinating the implementation of techniques for evaluating business functions or division or department activities.

Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software systems.

Complying with all State and University policies.

Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
