Job summary

Wesley Woods Senior Living Inc is looking for a Cook to prepare and service meals for residents in long-term care or assisted living facilities under supervision. The cook will lead in food preparation, follow standard recipes, and ensure meals meet dietary guidelines.

The role requires two years of institutional cooking experience, ability to read and follow instructions in English, and the stamina to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds. Benefit package available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in institutional cooking, preferably in healthcare or institutional food service.
• Ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English.
• Ability to lift up to fifty pounds; to bend, stoop and twist.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meals in accordance with standard procedures.
• Serves meals according to menus and daily meal distribution plan.
• Collaborates with team to ensure streamlined service.
• Maintains clean and sanitized work areas according to standards.
• Oversees inventory and ensures supplies are stocked.
