Frontier Senior Living seeks a Lead Cook for The Preserve at Spring Creek in Garland, TX. The position is full-time/part-time with an hourly wage of $19.00 to $23.00.

The community emphasizes quality dining and resident-focused service in a senior living setting. Primary duties include assisting with breakfast/lunch/dinner prep, preparing hot and cold items, soups, sauces, salads and desserts, while maintaining health and safety standards.

Formación

• Must follow written and verbal directions, reliably.
• Experience as online cook in food services preferred.
• Compassion for senior adults required.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Dietary Supervisor on breakfast, lunch or dinner preparation, production or service lines.
• Prepare hot and cold items as designated by Dietary Supervisor.
• Prepare soups, sauces, salads and desserts per recipes.
• Follow health department and infection control practices.
• Discuss and resolve food service and care coordination issues with the team.
• Help manage leftovers and inventories to control costs.
• Break down service lines and clean work areas as instructed.
• Get to know residents and communicate with staff to meet needs.
• Maintain professionalism and strong customer service with residents and team.
• Present a professional demeanor reflecting service philosophy.

Job Details: Job Location: The Preserve at Spring Creek - Garland, TX 75040, Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time, Salary Range: $19.00 - $23.00 Hourly, Travel Percentage: None, Job Shift: Any, Job Category: Dining Services (Kitchen & Food Prep), Frontier Senior Living is seeking an outstanding Lead Cook for The Preserve at Spring Creek community located in Garland, TX.

We currently have the following Shifts and Schedules available for this position:

• Full-Time Lead Cook position, rotating schedule requiring occasional weekend shifts

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist Dietary Supervisor on breakfast, lunch or dinner preparation, production or service lines
• Prepare hot and cold items as designated by Dietary Supervisor
• Prepare soup, sauces, salads, and desserts, according to established standards and recipes.
• Follow all health department practices, safety practices, and infection control practices
• Promptly discuss and resolve any potential food services and care coordination problems with team members and team leaders
• Work with Dietary Supervisor to see what leftovers are used and inventories are properly managed to keep costs in line
• Break down service line and clean work area as scheduled or instructed.
• Personally get to know residents of the Community by communicating with other team members and departments, reviewing appropriate resident records, and direct conversation with residents.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service orientation with all residents and other team members.
• Present a professional demeanor that communicates to current and prospective residents the corporate philosophy of service, goodwill, and genuine interest in the resident's unique needs.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: Other Requirements:

• Must be able to routinely follow written and verbal directions
• Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend for periods of up to eight hours
• Experience as on-line cook in food services preferred
• Training and experience has been attained through formal training or on-the-job training in appropriate techniques of resident care
• Compassion for senior adults required
• Push and pull up to 30 pounds
