Job summary

The Arrabelle at Vail Square, a luxury Vail hotel, seeks an experienced line cook with a positive work ethic and leadership qualities. The role requires at least two years of culinary experience in a similar restaurant, strong knife skills, and the ability to manage a kitchen during the chef’s absence.

You will work across multiple stations, follow HACCP standards, and train staff when needed. Starting wage ranges from $22.00 to $29.22 per hour for Winter Seasonal 2026/2027, with full-time hours

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary degree/certificate.
• Previous culinary experience.
• Previous experience cooking for multiple outlets.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to communicate in Spanish.
• Current certification in state Professional Food Handler Program.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand and walk briskly for up to 8 hours.
• Must be able to work a varied schedule including weekends, holidays, early mornings, afternoons and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to execute, prepare and ensure quality service in our culinary operations.
• Perform daily back of house culinary tasks to deliver excellent culinary service to resort guests, including but not limited to the following: Setting and stocking work stations as necessary; preparing a wide variety of basic to complex menu items; and assisting other cooks as needed.
