Job summary

  • Starting Rate: $17.50 – $28.00
Job Summary

Perform all duties in food preparation as assigned. Provide daily direction to cooks and other crew members, ensuring departmental standards and goals are met. Prepare, cook, season, and portion food for patients/residents, staff, and visitors, following menu and dietary requirements, while adhering to food quality standards for appearance, taste, temperature, and sanitation.

Carry out washing and cleaning duties to maintain cleanliness of cooking and serving areas. Keep food, equipment, and machinery properly labeled and stored.

Work with internal customers, requiring above‑average communication and teamwork. Thrive in a dynamic culinary environment, following standardized recipes and HACCP guidelines. Document HACCP steps, temperatures, and outcomes to guarantee food safety.

Operate kitchen equipment, including mixers, slicers, kettles, ovens, food processors, stovetops, induction burners, grills, deep‑fat fryers, knives, dishwashers, garbage disposals, refrigerators, and freezers. Work independently when necessary, demonstrating understanding of food safety and sanitation processes and basic math proficiency.
