Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Lead Cook to prepare meals according to standard recipes and production guidelines, while adhering to food safety and sanitation procedures. The role may supervise staff and assign tasks, with duties varying by location to meet client requirements.

You will operate grills, ovens, broilers and other equipment, set up workstations, measure ingredients, and ensure portions meet guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisor experience in a related role preferred.
• Experience as a cook or related role required.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Proven knowledge of basic principles of food preparation and storage.
• Food safety certification required.
• Basic math and counting skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and assigns daily work activities to staff and supervises the completion of tasks.
• Trains and guides staff on job duties and safety procedures.
• Cooks and prepares food following production guidelines and recipes.
• Sets up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely uses all food utensils including knives.
• Operates ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses various cooking methods.
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food per guidelines.
• Stores food according to safety policies and procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas and utensils.
• Maintains excellent customer service with a positive attitude.
• Follows Aramark safety policies and sanitation procedures.
• Ensures security of company assets.
• Produces and maintains work schedules and production records.
