Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Food and Beverage Manager, responsible for working with cooks to prepare all menu items for customers with prompt and courteous attention in accordance with health codes.

Up to $22.00

Full Time Non-Exempt

Essential Job Functions
  • Assist the Food and Beverage Manager with food inventory and ordering processes.
  • Assist the Food and Beverage Manager with cook/kitchen scheduling and payroll.
  • Assist with development of food menu and specials.
  • Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh.
  • Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients.
  • Assist with stocking and setting up kitchen stations.
  • Prepare food, including cleaning, cutting ingredients, and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, and snacks.
  • Present, garnish, and arrange final dishes.
  • Work with servers to ensure orders are completed correctly and on time.
  • Ensure kitchen procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health regulations.
  • Monitor the appearance and cleanliness of kitchen equipment and facilities.
  • Thoroughly clean all equipment, utensils, and surfaces daily and as needed.
  • Filter fryer oil daily, replace when necessary, and clean grease traps.
  • Verify upcoming events and check stock levels; advise the manager on supplies needed.
  • Perform job safely, following district policies and safety rules.
  • Operate equipment safely as required.
Special Considerations
  • 40+ hours/week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. On-call work may be required.
  • Employee is considered on duty whenever needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Knowledge of safety precautions.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with grill operation, fryer maintenance, and food prep skills.
