Job summary

American Food & Vending is seeking a Lead Cook to ensure exceptional dining through accurate preparation, portioning, grilling and plating. You will lead a station, promote teamwork, and multitask to deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include cooking and serving at designated stations, adhering to safety standards, maintaining records, and supporting the team to create memorable guest experiences. Position offers weekly pay and meal benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in lead kitchen roles or hospitality/food service.
• Ability to work quickly in a high-volume environment.
• Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and support the team to improve dining services.
• Cook, grill and serve menu offerings at a designated station.
• Operate stove top, flat top, and open flame grill.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays safely to workstations and storage.
• Prepare and serve food per guest specifications.
• Store foods with proper wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures.
• Retain temperature logs and production records efficiently.
• Keep supplies replenished and inventory as directed.
• Set up/breakdown stations and sanitize equipment.
• Adhere to state/local food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Focus on customer satisfaction with excellent service.
• Communicate professionally and clearly.
• Be efficient and organized.
• May operate POS for orders and to-go packaging.
• May take on other duties as needed.
