Job summary

Mystic Lake and Little Six are seeking a skilled cook to lead in a fast-paced scratch kitchen environment. Directs kitchen staff to ensure food orders are accurately prepared for the assigned station, and prepares more complex items according to standard operating procedures.

The role offers weekly pay, free uniforms, health benefits, a $1,000 sign-on bonus, and opportunities for advancement within the SMSC Gaming Enterprise.

Qualifications

• Cook experience in line, banquets/catering or production kitchens.
• Experience running kitchen/line in Chef’s absence.
• Experience ensuring food preparation procedures for quality, uniformity and accurateness are met.
• Basic knowledge of sanitation practices, quality control, recipe interpretation, and prep duties.

Responsibilities

• Directs kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly for assigned station.
• Prepares more complex food items according to SOPs.
• Assists with setup, prep work, and delivery of food products.
• Completes all prep sheets and maintains cleanliness of equipment and workstation.
• Maintains cooler and storage area and rotates food to ensure freshness.
