Job summary

Acts Retirement-Life Communities is seeking a dedicated Lead Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will prepare meals, follow established recipes, mentor line cooks, and help ensure smooth service across all meal periods.

As part of onboarding, you’ll advance your culinary career through Rouxbe Online Culinary School, earning transferable college credits and setting you up for long-term success within our organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of four years’ progressive responsibility in a full-service restaurant, catering, healthcare, country club/hotel, or cruise line environment.
• ServeSafe Certification (or willing to obtain within the three-month introductory period).
• Experienced in all cooking stations and methods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and follow established recipes.
• Support the kitchen staff and ensure the restaurant runs smoothly during service.
• Assist in training and development of line cooks and prep staff.
