Job summary

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in a related role preferred
• Experience as a cook or related role required
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision required
• Proven knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
• Food safety certification required
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills
• Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Schedules and assigns daily work activities to staff and supervises tasks
• Trains staff on duties, food safety, sanitation and cooking methods
• Cooks and prepares food following recipes and guidelines
• Sets up workstation with ingredients and equipment
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, chopping, and peeling
• Safely uses knives and food utensils
• Operates ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers and other equipment
• Bakes, roasts and uses various cooking methods for meats and vegetables
• Arranges, garnishes and portions food per guidelines
• Stores food properly and maintains safety procedures
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas and equipment
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude
• Follows Aramark safety policies and protects company assets
