What You Can Expect
  1. Administration: Coordinates team meetings and participates in meetings with cooks.
  2. Food Product Quality Standards: Ensures food products meet quality standards for taste and appearance.
  3. Kitchen Equipment Utilization: Ensures proper usage of kitchen equipment including combi-ovens, slicers, steamers, and mixers.
  4. Food Production Sheets: Follows production sheets to ensure correct quantities are made and available to all service areas.
  5. Cleaning & Maintenance: Follows sanitation guidelines of federal, state, and HFAP regulatory agencies.
  6. Labels & Dates: Labels and dates food products according to procedures.
  7. Food Preparation: Meets schedules and time requirements for food preparation.
  8. Performance Management: Monitors unit operations and provides feedback to team members.
  9. People Management Activities: Participates in performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and interviews.
  10. Safe Food Handling Techniques: Practices safe food handling techniques.
  11. Food Preparation: Prepares and cooks/bakes food according to standardized recipes.
  12. Food Temperatures Recording: Records food temperatures accurately.
Qualifications
  1. Preferred High School Diploma/GED
  2. 2 years Institutional Cooking Required
  3. 1 year Food Service and/or Cooking Preferred
  4. Food Handler Certification
  5. Full-time, Days/Evenings, weekends and holidays rotation.
