Job summary

Sodexo Live at the MOTE Aquarium is seeking a Lead Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare nutritious dishes with a focus on customer service and a welcoming dining experience.

We value teamwork, reliability, and flexibility across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and events. Ideal candidates have 3–4 years of related experience and a full-time availability.

Qualifications

• Team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and fosters a safe working environment.
• 3–4 years of related food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and cold items for multiple meal periods.
• Read and follow recipes and product directions.
• May prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte or grill station.
• Support management in daily oversight during business operations.
• Attend scheduled shifts on time with reliability.
• Other duties may be assigned based on client requirements.

Pay Range: $19 per hour - $23 per hour

What You’ll Do:

As a Lead Cook at Sodexo Live, you are a team player and food waste reducer. You’ll prepare and create nutritious dishes while putting customer service at the heart of everything you do. Your passion for food and warm smile will make a positive impact and brighten the day of those you serve.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods, may include Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.
• Read and follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing various food items
• May prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station
• May support management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during the normal course of business
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
