Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Lead Cook for the Glocester School District, with weekday morning shifts. Employment can be Full-Time or Part-Time, pay $17.50 per hour.

You’ll lead the kitchen team, prepare nutritious meals, and emphasize customer service in a school dining setting. Responsibilities include preparing and presenting a variety of hot and cold items, following recipes, supporting management, and attending shifts on time.

Qualifications

• Team-oriented candidate with a focus on a safe, healthy work environment.
• 3–4 years of related food service experience preferred.
• Ability to read basic recipes and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods.
• Read and follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing various food items.
• May prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station.
• May support management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during the normal course of business.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity.
