Job summary

Elior School Dining is seeking an experienced lead cook to join our Maple Lake, MN school dining team. You will lead a kitchen, train staff, and ensure high-quality meals are prepared and served within scheduled hours.

Hours of operation are 7am–1:30pm, Monday to Friday. The role requires strong leadership and clean, safe kitchen practices while maintaining cost controls and teamwork with school staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent multitasking, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and assisting with the preparation and service of food items.
• Following established recipes to ensure consistency, quality, and proper portioning.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including the kitchen and dishwashing areas.
• Washing dishes, utensils, cookware, and other kitchen equipment as needed.
• Adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards and procedures.
• Monitoring food usage and inventory to help control costs and minimize waste.
• Preparing and serving food on the tray line while providing efficient, quality service.

The Role at a glance:
