Job Overview
This position oversees kitchen operations, maintains a safe and sanitary work environment, and prepares or directs the preparation of meals in accordance with corporate programs and guidelines.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Ability to read/write routine reports and correspondence
- Effective communication skills
- Math and PC skills
- Problem-solving abilities
- Serv Safe Certification (food protection) and SAFE Serve Certification within 1 year required
Job Responsibilities
- Act on behalf of team members in their absence; perform other duties as assigned
- Complete all mandatory trainings on time
- Participate in cross-training to improve skills and knowledge of other staff responsibilities
- Complete daily paperwork accurately (cleaning lists, temperature charts, logs, invoices)
- Communicate proactively with staff and management to resolve departmental issues
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards daily
- Complete tasks within specified timeframes, prepare food efficiently, and utilize proper techniques and equipment
Working Conditions
- Occasional climbing, kneeling, reaching, stooping, and lifting over 50 lbs.
- Frequent talking and hearing; occasional use of hands, color vision, visual acuity, walking, sitting
