Job Overview

This position oversees kitchen operations, maintains a safe and sanitary work environment, and prepares or directs the preparation of meals in accordance with corporate programs and guidelines.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• Ability to read/write routine reports and correspondence
• Effective communication skills
• Math and PC skills
• Problem-solving abilities
• Serv Safe Certification (food protection) and SAFE Serve Certification within 1 year required

Job Responsibilities

• Act on behalf of team members in their absence; perform other duties as assigned
• Complete all mandatory trainings on time
• Participate in cross-training to improve skills and knowledge of other staff responsibilities
• Complete daily paperwork accurately (cleaning lists, temperature charts, logs, invoices)
• Communicate proactively with staff and management to resolve departmental issues
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards daily
• Complete tasks within specified timeframes, prepare food efficiently, and utilize proper techniques and equipment

Working Conditions

• Occasional climbing, kneeling, reaching, stooping, and lifting over 50 lbs.
• Frequent talking and hearing; occasional use of hands, color vision, visual acuity, walking, sitting
