Job summary

ControlTouch Systems, LLC is seeking a senior Controls Engineer III to lead all phases of control projects, from concept to completion, including PLC/HMI programming and on-site commissioning. The role requires a strong background in AC/DC control systems, electrical design, and hands-on troubleshooting, with travel up to 50%.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in engineering (EE/EET/CECS) and 6+ years of related experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD and PLC programming.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (EE, EET or CECS) or equivalent.
• 6+ years in the field or related area.
• PLC programming, debugging and commissioning.
• Plan/hardware design.
• AutoCAD (AutoCAD E desired).
• Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic knowledge of electrical equipment and local codes like UL508a, NEC and NFPA.
• Hands-on mechanical and electrical capabilities (preferred).
• Understanding VFDs, Servos, sensors and Vision Systems.
• Willingness to travel to customer facilities and work non-business hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of a controls project from concept to completion.
• Design electrical diagrams and control layouts with efficiency.
• Program PLC and HMI; troubleshoot on site and in office collaboration.
• Provide on-site installation and commissioning support and after-sales help.
• Lead and coach other engineers on projects.
