Job summary

Avery Dennison is seeking a Controls Engineer at our Fort Wayne, IN site to advance automation initiatives and drive improvements across the plant floor. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5+ years in controls, automation, or electrical engineering in manufacturing.
• 2+ years of capital project management.
• Strong PLC programming experience with several brands.
• Experience with drive configurations, HMI/SCADA, OT networking, and cybersecurity basics.
• AutoCAD proficiency and knowledge of electrical codes.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, implement, and maintain PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
• Manage OT networks and collaborate with IT for cybersecurity.
• Lead capital projects and equipment migrations.
• Provide high-level troubleshooting and engineered solutions.
• Maintain electrical documentation and train staff on new systems.
