Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Controls Engineer to lead all phases of control projects from concept to completion, including design, installation, and after-sales support. The role requires expert PLC programming, AC/DC control systems mastery, and strong collaboration with the Engineering Manager to drive standards.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in material handling, experience with Allen Bradley networks, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while traveling up to 25% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (EE, EET or CECS) or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in material handling or related field, parcel and warehouse distribution.
• Expert understanding of AC/DC control systems.
• Proficient in PLC programming and electrical diagram development.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and work non-business hours as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of control projects from concept to completion.
• Estimate support, component selection, network and panel design.
• On-site installation, debugging and after-sales support.
• Coach and guide engineers, share knowledge with team.
• Collaborate with Engineering Manager on standards and training.
