Job summary

Washington Equipment Manufacturing Company, Inc. (WEMCO, Inc.) is seeking a Controls Engineer to review, modify and design electrical systems for electromechanical equipment.

You will validate performance and implement designs and test procedures, collaborating with engineers and clients. Responsibilities include leading PLC integration, developing control system concepts, troubleshooting hardware and software, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design, development and implementation of control systems including PLC programming.
• 5+ years of experience or education in electrical controls systems.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
• Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess project requirements and undertake relevant research.
• Validate and improve performance of electromechanical equipment and components.
• Use CAD/CAM software to review, modify and design electrical systems.
• Lead integration of new PLC systems and automation equipment.
