Job summary

E Tech Group seeks a Lead Controls Engineer to join the Mission Critical data center team, designing, deploying, and commissioning industrial automation solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, integrating systems for high-performance, scalable, and secure automation applications.

You will perform PLC/HMI/SCADA testing, provide onsite and remote support, and travel as projects require across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in the control system industry.
• Ability to work independently on projects with organization and methodical approach.
• Basic understanding of control system network topologies.
• Experience commissioning in live environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a team member supporting project execution from design through implementation.
• Perform quality checks and bench testing of PLC, HMI, and SCADA programs.
• Provide onsite and remote support for commissioning design changes.
• Adapt to a flexible work schedule and travel across the U.S.

We are seeking a Lead Controls Engineer who will be part of the Mission Critical data center team to support the design, development, deployment, installation, and commissioning of industrial automation solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, integrating industrial systems, and ensuring high-performance, scalable, and secure automation applications.

You Will:

• Serve as a team member supporting the execution of project work from design through implementation.
• Perform quality checks and bench testing of PLC, HMI, & SCADA programs.
• Provide onsite and remote support commissioning system design changes.
• Adapt to a flexible work schedule & travel to accommodate projects across the United States.
• Be an ambassador who embodies our Core Values, prioritizing the success of E Tech Group, our clients, and the professional development of our associates.

You May:

• Develop/modify design documentation – drawing packages, method of procedures, sequence of operations, testing scripts.
• Create tools, methods and approaches to increase engineering efficiency.
• Develop and Lead training classes internally and externally.
• Assist Business development team to evaluate and promote opportunities with predesigns, estimates, and in person presentations.

You Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in the control system industry.
• Able to work independently on projects and tasks with a very organized and methodical approach
• Basic understanding of control system network topologies
• Experience commissioning in “live” environments.
• A DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork.

You May Have:

• Experience with PLC or DDC controlled data center projects
• Experience with AVEVA Wonderware, FactoryTalk View SE, OPC UA/DA, Rockwell or Schneider PLC’s, Tridium Niagara, Eclypse Designer.
• Experience with Building Management & HVAC Control Systems
• Experience with BMS and EPMS
• Instrumentation calibration / startup experience.

Salary: $140K- $160K
