Job summary

E Tech Group is seeking a Lead Controls Engineer to join our team of specialists. In this role you will design, deploy, test, and maintain control system projects, delivering solutions from concept through startup.

You will collaborate closely with customers and teams, occasionally traveling to client sites to ensure successful implementations and ongoing support. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in engineering, 3+ years in the control systems field, and experience with PLC/SCADA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in the control system industry.
• Ability to work independently with a methodical approach.
• Knowledge of control system network topologies is a plus.
• Willingness to travel 30-50% (local with remote support).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a team member supporting design through implementation of project work.
• Develop/modify design documentation, SOPs, and testing scripts.
• Perform quality checks and bench testing of PLC, HMI, SCADA programs.
• Provide onsite and remote commissioning support and design changes.
• Monitor progress with installation teams and communicate status to the team.
• Travel to client facilities for design, development, and startup as needed.
• Be an ambassador for core values and professional development.

We are seeking a Lead Controls Engineer who will be part of a growing business to support the design, deployment, testing, and maintenance of control system projects. Responsibilities include implementation, testing and startup of technical solutions created by yourself or others. To be successful, you must be an effective collaborator with customers and other associates to deliver the best solution and be willing and able to take direction from project management leaders. This position will require frequent updates to management and customers for work status updates..

You will:

• Serve as a team member supporting the execution of project work from design through implementation.
• Develop/modify design documentation drawing packages, method of procedures, sequence of operations, testing scripts.
• Perform quality checks and bench testing of PLC, HMI, & SCADA programs.
• Provide onsite and remote support commissioning system design changes.
• Work with installation company to monitor progress, QA/QC installation, test procedures, document, and communicate with team progress observations.
• Adapt to a flexible work schedule & travel, if necessary, to participate in the design, development, and start-up of control systems at the clients facility
• Be an ambassador who embodies our Core Values, prioritizing the success of E Tech Group, our clients, and the professional development of our associates.

You have:

• Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in the control system industry.
• Able to work independently on projects and tasks with a very organized and methodical approach
• Basic understanding of control system network topologies
• Instrumentation calibration / startup experience.
• Experience commissioning in live environments.
• Willingness to travel 30-50% (mostly local with remote support)
• A DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork.

You may have:

• Experience with PLC or DDC controlled data center projects
• Experience with AVEVA Wonderware, FactoryTalk View SE, OPC UA/DA, and A/B Rockwell or Schneider PLCs.
• Experience Building Management & HVAC Control Systems
