Job summary

Google accountants handle the core accounting responsibilities at Google. You know your accounting principles and the full accounting process end to end. You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
• CPA or CA.
• 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end accounting operations, revenue recognition, contract reviews, journal entries, product profit and loss preparation, and month-end close for Google One.
• Partner with Financial Planning and Analysis, Product, and Engineering to build financial systems, streamline workflows, and implement internal controls to mitigate risk.
• Prepare quarterly SEC disclosures, fulfill regulatory compliance requirements, and present financial results and ad-hoc analysis to leadership.
• Automate and centralize accounting workflows while managing external service providers to ensure timely, high-quality execution.
• Evaluate financial implications of new business deals and offer actionable accounting direction to Sales and Product partners.
