Job summary

Google is seeking a qualified finance and accounting professional to join its Controllership team in support of Google One and related AI initiatives. You will manage end-to-end accounting processes, drive internal controls, and collaborate across engineering and product teams to optimize financial systems and reporting.

The role emphasizes precision, speed, and cross-functional teamwork to support growth, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
• 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end accounting operations, revenue recognition, contract reviews, journal entries, product profit and loss preparation, and month-end close for Google One.
• Partner with Financial Planning and Analysis, Product, and Engineering to build financial systems, streamline workflows, and implement internal controls to mitigate risk.
• Prepare quarterly SEC disclosures, fulfill regulatory compliance requirements, and present financial results and ad-hoc analysis to leadership.
• Automate and centralize accounting workflows while managing external service providers to ensure timely, high-quality execution.
• Evaluate financial implications of new business deals and offer actionable accounting direction to Sales and Product partners.

Education

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $105000 - $151000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
