Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to lead a team on a large-scale manufacturing project in Clay, NY. You will plan staffing, schedule work, and supervise control systems activities from concept through commissioning.

You will review designs, support procurement, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor junior engineers to deliver high-quality outcomes on a fast-paced, international project.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10–17 years of relevant experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Control Systems preferred (state of NY is highly preferred).
• Knowledge of instrumentation and control valves, data sheets, and control system design.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and participate in day-to-day Control Systems engineering on projects.
• Manage designs from concept through procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Provide technical input to procurement and vendor evaluations.
• Review designs, calculations, and change orders for the project.
• Ensure designs adhere to codes and safety regulations.
• Mentor and lead control systems designers and junior staff.
