Job summary

Bechtel Manufacturing and Technology seeks a senior Control Systems lead in Houston to supervise designers and drafters, plan work to meet schedules, and ensure high-quality, safe, compliant designs. You will oversee material requisitions and bid evaluations while coordinating with other disciplines.

Requires a bachelor's degree and 8–14 years of relevant experience; proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and S3D is essential for creating detailed drawings and 3D models for complex control systems

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree and 8–10 years of relevant experience or 12–14 years in lieu of degree.
• Knowledge of P&IDs, cable schedules, IO lists, and network architecture diagrams.
• Experience with 3D modeling and clash checks; proficient in CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs for complete Control Systems engineering with minimal supervision.
• Lead tasks for junior designers and assign work to optimize team performance.
• Ensure compliance with design standards, codes, and project requirements.
• Review calculations, design models, drawings, and documents for quality and accuracy.
• Participate in constructability reviews and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Oversee material take-offs and requisitions for relevant discipline.
• Develop work plans, budgets, and schedules for designer tasks.
• Create 2D drawings or 3D CAD models with minimal guidance.
