Job description

Meyer Utility Structures is currently looking to hire a Lead Control Process Operator in our Fort Worth, TX plant. The Lead supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in fabrication and assembly of structural sheet metal products. The Lead sets up and operates machines, makes adjustments for materials used, verify dimensional requirements and may use blueprints.

Schedule: Must be able to work a flexible shift. (Monday – Friday) and/or (Friday – Sunday)

What you’ll do:

• Lead a team of Operators
• Set up and operate computer numerical controlled (CNC) machinery that automatically heats, mills, cuts, forms, drills, broaches, or reams metal, plastic, or processed material parts
• Troubleshoot equipment and make basic adjustments
• Make general decisions as to quality, tolerances, and operation sequence
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned

What you’ll need:

• Minimum of 4 year's of experience
• The ability to lead a team of 4-6 operators
• Ability to proficiently read blueprints and verify dimensional requirements
• Ability to operate CNC/PLC equipment (Whitney-plasma/punch; Kinetic; Oxy-fuel cutting; Plasma cutting; CNC machining center/drills, presses, mills)
• The ability to maintain good attendance
• A high level of dependability, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal.
