Job summary

Kids for the Future seeks a Lead Content Writer and Editor to develop, edit, and lead strategic content translating complex patient safety, medical professional liability, insurance, financial, and organizational information into clear communications.

Responsibilities span content from concept to publication, collaboration with clinicians and leaders, and mentoring the team on writing standards, with a focus on data-informed insights for internal and external audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in communications, journalism, public health, health sciences, English, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in content development, copyediting, corporate communications, or related work.
• Exceptional writing, substantive editing, copyediting, and information-synthesis skills.
• Demonstrated experience translating complex or technical information for varied audiences.
• Strong verbal and written presentation skills, including the ability to develop clear, polished materials for senior leadership.
• Experience with Microsoft programs, including Power BI or similar software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the development of CRICO and Candello content from concept through publication, including reports, newsletters, case studies, web content, white papers, journal articles, executive/Board materials, and other communications as needed.
• Research, write, edit, restructure, and refine complex material independently and in collaboration with subject-matter experts and organizational leaders.
• Develop articles and advance thought leadership based on CRICO and Candello research, data analyses, and subject-matter expertise for publication in external industry, healthcare, and peer-reviewed publications.
• Identify key messages, narrative approaches, and audience needs to translate complex clinical information and malpractice claims data into compelling, accessible content.
• Ensure content is accurate, appropriately sourced, and consistent with editorial, brand, and writing standards.
