Job summary

Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist to lead the Specialist Dementia and Frailty Service (SDFS) in Epping. The post involves medical leadership for a multidisciplinary team and close collaboration with community services to ensure safe, effective patient care.

The successful applicant will be the Responsible Clinician for community treatment orders and must be knowledgeable about the Mental Capacity Act.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration and Specialist Register, with CCT or equivalent or within six months of obtaining CCT.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership for the Specialist Dementia and Frailty Service (SDFS).
• Act as Responsible Clinician for community treatment orders under the Mental Health Act.
• Lead multidisciplinary team and coordinate with community teams to improve patient care pathways.
• Participate in development and maintenance of care programmes and service improvement.
