Job summary

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of heavy civil concrete experience with supervisory responsibility.
  • Experience constructing municipal water and wastewater facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of cast-in-place concrete methods, formwork, reinforcing steel, embeds, and water-retaining structures.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Experience coordinating multiple crews and subcontractors.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise concrete crews performing formwork, reinforcing steel coordination, concrete placement, and finishing activities.
  • Plan and coordinate daily work activities to meet production goals and project schedules.
  • Read and interpret drawings and specs to ensure correct installation.
  • Coordinate with superintendents, project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, and other trades to maintain workflow.
  • Oversee water/wastewater structures including clarifiers, aeration basins, digesters, pump stations, wet wells, valve vaults, headworks, and tanks.
  • Verify layout, elevations, dimensions, and alignment before concrete placement.
  • Ensure proper installation of formwork, embeds, waterstops, anchor bolts, sleeves, and other cast-in-place components.
  • Monitor placement activities for quality, consolidation, finishing, curing, and compliance with specs.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and promote OSHA-compliant safety culture.
  • Identify and resolve field issues to minimize schedule impacts and rework.
  • Coordinate equipment, tools, deliveries, and manpower to support planned work.
  • Mentor and develop carpenters, laborers, and other craft employees.
  • Maintain daily reports, production records, and quality documentation.
  • Participate in project planning meetings and short-interval scheduling.
