Job summary

Mesabi Metallics seeks a Mechanical Planner - Concentrator to oversee planning and optimization of concentrator maintenance, aiming to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You will collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations to meet targets while upholding safety standards.

Reporting to the Coil/Concentrator team, you will develop schedules, allocate resources, and present performance reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in planning or maintenance in mining/mineral processing.
• Proficient in planning and scheduling software; familiar with concentrator operations.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; able to interpret data.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive production and maintenance plans for the concentrator.
• Create and maintain detailed schedules for concentrator operations.
• Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams.
• Allocate resources to meet production targets; manage personnel and equipment.
• Prepare reports on concentrator performance and deviations for management.
• Ensure safety protocols and regulatory requirements are followed.
• Lead initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity.
