Job summary

MSD is seeking a scientist to lead the development of an in-silico platform for antibody and protein engineering in Gaithersburg, MD. The role involves designing computational workflows, integrating AI-based methods, and collaborating across groups to advance de novo design.

You will supervise interdisciplinary teams and contribute to strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate holds a PhD with relevant experience and has a proven track record in protein/antibody modeling and publications.

Qualifications

• PhD in structural bioinformatics, molecular biology, bioengineering, biophysics, computational biology, or related field with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise with protein and antibody modeling, including antigen-antibody interactions.
• Publications in protein prediction or de novo protein design, including antibody or enzyme engineering.
• Experience with artificial intelligence and/or machine learning methods is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops an in-silico platform for antibody and protein engineering.
• Develops computational pipelines for protein structure determination and docking, using AI methods.
• Leads technical teams to implement pipelines in protein design, engineering, or prediction.
• Evaluates experimental data and translates findings into design improvements.
• Presents analyses to peers and managers and coordinates cross-functional initiatives.
