Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Chemistry Pod Lead to mentor a team of trainers building terminal-based chemistry tasks for AI training and evaluation. You will review task statements, molecular structures, spectra, datasets and simulations, ensuring chemical accuracy and reproducibility.

The role requires a PhD or equivalent, strong programming in Python, C/C++, Julia or Fortran, and hands-on computational chemistry experience. You will lead and grow a skilled pod in a Linux/terminal environment.

Qualifikationen

• PhD or equivalent advanced experience in chemistry or a related field.
• Strong programming skills: Python, C/C++, Julia or Fortran; Linux and terminal proficiency.
• Hands-on experience in computational chemistry, molecular simulation, cheminformatics or chemical data analysis.
• Experience reviewing scientific code or research outputs and leading small technical teams.
• Excellent written communication and scientific judgment.

Aufgaben

• Review task statements, molecular structures, spectra, datasets, simulation inputs, solutions and automated tests.
• Validate chemical correctness, convergence, numerical tolerances and reproducibility.
• Ensure graders assess meaningful scientific results and cannot be bypassed.
• Review chemical safety concerns, provide actionable feedback and track revisions.
• Allocate work, monitor quality and mentor trainers.
