Job summary

The University of Michigan seeks a scientific leader to design, perform, and interpret advanced computational analyses supporting pediatric brain tumor research. You will develop novel bioinformatic tools to analyze single‑cell and multiomics data, lead genomic data integration, and mentor students and research staff in computational genomics.

You will lead grant writing, manuscript preparation, and presentation of findings at national meetings, and supervise labs in establishing reproducible

Qualifications

  • PhD in bioinformatics, computer science or engineering required.
  • At least 10 years in computational biology roles.
  • Experience mentoring graduate students and postdocs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and interpret advanced computational analyses for pediatric brain tumors.
  • Develop and optimize bioinformatic tools and pipelines for multiomic data.
  • Lead data integration of genomic, transcriptomic and clinical datasets.
  • Mentor students and research staff in computational genomics.
