Job summary

Qfix is seeking a Composites Manufacturing Engineer to drive design and manufacturing of advanced composites for medical devices. You will develop manufacturing processes, work with R&D and production to ensure manufacturability, and mentor cross-functional teams to meet project goals.

The role requires a BS in Engineering and at least 10 years in advanced composites, with hands‑on experience in prepregs, RTM, VARTM, cure technologies, and 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks).

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (required).
• Minimum 10 years in Advanced Composites Manufacturing.
• Experience with prepregs, core laminates, layup, RTM, VARTM, oven/autoclave curing, press curing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement composites manufacturing design and processes during R&D.
• Collaborate with Composites and Devices Value Stream to ensure manufacturability and minimize rework.
• Work with manufacturing and R&D engineers to create highly manufacturable designs and processes.
• Act as technical expert in composites materials and manufacturing techniques.
• Mentor cross-functional teams to complete tasks on schedule.
