Western Union is seeking a Lead Compliance Internal Testing Analyst to join our Denver team in a hybrid role. You will lead advisory reviews, testing of AML, financial crimes controls, and regulatory compliance, and report findings to senior management.
You will develop the internal testing program, mentor colleagues, maintain the control library, and ensure timely remediation of risks, while collaborating with partners across the enterprise.

Applicants must be based in Denver or willing to relocate to Denver to work from the Denver office a minimum of three days a week. Identify control and operational improvements and proactively assessing the effectiveness and sufficiency of various processes within Compliance and Operations including Anti-Money Laundering, Financial Crimes Compliance, Fraud, Consumer Protection, and Regulatory Compliance. Conduct and lead advisory reviews and compliance controls testing, test compliance with regulatory requirements in the United States and internationally, perform root cause analysis, develop recommendations for improvement, and prepare executive summary presentations to be submitted to senior management. Drive compliance testing from initiation through reporting including determining the scope of testing, leading walkthroughs with process owners, leading and coordinating testing to ensure that it is completed within set timelines, promptly escalating identified risks and gaps, ensuring that findings are fully remediated, and checking the quality and completeness of workpapers and memos. Contribute to the development of the internal testing program including developing long‑term relationships with internal partners and stakeholders, mentoring and developing colleagues, maintaining and updating the control library, updating testing methodologies and internal testing guidance, suggesting improvements to the testing program, and proactively identifying internal and external risks that may warrant additional testing.
Bachelor's degree with professional certification in related disciplines (preferred CIA, CFE, ACFCS, and/or CAMS) preferred. 2+ years of relevant experience in complex retail/consumer financial services/payment services organizations with multiple financial products, or a regulatory agency or law firm involving payment services compliance issues relating to anti-money laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, and related state and federal money transmission laws and regulations. 2+ years of previous internal audit, financial consulting, and/or quality assurance experience. Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem‑solving, influencing, prioritization, decision making and conflict resolution skills including the ability to interact with all levels of management.

The base salary range is $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 USD Annual per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary plus annual incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
