Job Description Summary

The Lead Compliance Analyst plays a crucial role in mitigating legal exposure and risk to the organization by enforcing company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. We seek a critical thinker and problem-solver who can apply broad knowledge to various circumstances, work independently with latitude for un-reviewed actions or decisions, and perform complex assignments as directed.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate across departments to perform oversight testing and reimagine departmental work processes, utilizing analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
  2. Participate in implementing and executing risk assessments and testing programs, including compliance testing per SEC and FINRA rules.
  3. Assess key business processes, risks, and controls; develop and update the company's risk matrix.
  4. Document testing plans and procedures; execute testing of procedures and controls.
  5. Evaluate, document, and present test results; identify enhancements and remedial actions.
  6. Work with Legal, Operations, and Finance teams to address regulatory matters and respond to regulatory requests.
  7. Research and interpret current and proposed regulations; prepare the organization for compliance.
  8. Oversee service providers through diligence as determined by the CCO and Legal/Compliance department.
  9. Analyze data for trends, opportunities for improvement, and compliance issues.
  10. Review policies and procedures; recommend and implement controls.
  11. Conduct oversight testing for state insurance compliance.
  12. Identify issues from compliance examinations; follow up on resolutions.
  13. Assist with regulatory filings like Form ADV.
  14. Provide training on compliance obligations and regulatory changes.
  15. Support business partners in supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of securities, retirement, and insurance products is a plus.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements such as Investment Advisers Act, FINRA rules, and state insurance laws is preferred.
  • FINRA licenses (Series 7 & 24 or Series 6 & 26) are preferred; unlicensed candidates are expected to obtain within 6 months.
  • Strong integrity, communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; proficient in Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions

Office environment. Salary range: $90,000–$100,000 annually, based on qualifications and other factors. Eligible for annual bonus.
