TransUnion is seeking a Sr Consultant, Compliance to provide regulatory guidance and oversight for Credit Risk Solutions and Alternative Data. You will partner with product teams to identify requirements, assess risks, and implement controls across regulatory programs.
The role requires 6+ years in compliance or risk management, deep knowledge of FCRA, GLBA, UDAAP, and DPPA, and strong project-management and communication skills. Hybrid work and career growth are offered.
The Compliance Advisory team serves as the Second Line of Defense, providing independent oversight, guidance, and challenge to business teams on regulatory obligations and compliance risk mitigation. The team partners across Legal, Risk and Compliance, Global Solutions, US Markets, Global Operations, and Global Technology, Data & Analytics to support consistent compliance program execution, regulatory readiness, and effective risk issue management. This role reports to Senior Director of Compliance Advisory. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
Provide compliance advice to Credit Risk Solutions and the Alternative Data business on applicable U.S. regulatory obligations, including FCRA and GLBA. Partner with internal business clients during product development to identify regulatory requirements, assess compliance risks, and incorporate appropriate controls. Support Regulatory Change Management by assessing the impact of new and changing laws and helping business teams develop and execute implementation action plans. Support Issue Management by helping business teams identify control breaks that may cause harm to customers or consumers. Assist with investigating the root cause of compliance issues and identifying corrective actions to remediate potential harm. Track corrective action plans and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support timely and effective issue remediation. Develop and maintain relevant compliance policies, guidance, and training materials. Communicate complex regulatory concepts clearly to business, product, legal, risk, technology, and other cross‑functional stakeholders. Work independently with minimal oversight and influence teams across a matrixed organization.
Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or risk management within the credit industry or financial services. Knowledge of U.S. state laws and consumer protection regulations, including FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act), GLBA (Gramm‑Leach‑Bliley Act), UDAAP (Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices), and DPPA (Driver’s Privacy Protection Act), to provide regulatory guidance to the business. Experience providing compliance advice to business partners during product development, including identifying regulatory risks and supporting appropriate mitigation. Strong project management, analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills to manage compliance activities and explain regulatory requirements clearly. Experience writing compliance policies and developing training materials to support consistent understanding and execution of regulatory requirements.
Working knowledge of FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act), GLBA (Gramm‑Leach‑Bliley Act), UDAAP (Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices), and DPPA (Driver’s Privacy Protection Act). Experience applying Regulatory Change Management procedures to assess regulatory impacts and support implementation action plans. Experience applying Issue Management procedures, including control‑break identification, root cause investigation, corrective action planning, and remediation tracking. Compliance policy writing, regulatory analysis, and compliance training development skills.

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $150,000 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job‑related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular, fulltime non‑sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long‑term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
