Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace in Appleton, WI seeks a Completions Certification Tech Spec II to lead complex engineering certification efforts. You will guide 14 CFR 25 compliance, participate in major design changes and STC projects, and mentor juniors while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Required are a bachelor’s degree and extensive experience in engineering compliance, with strong writing and communication skills for plans, reports and correspondence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or technical field.
• 10 years in a specific technical discipline or 15 years across multiple disciplines.
• Experience with FAA/ODA related processes and regulatory reviews.
• Ability to develop and review certification plans and substantiation data.
• Strong written communication for ICA, plans and compliance reports.
• Experience with major design changes, STC projects, and alterations.

Responsibilities

• Lead selection of methods and evaluation criteria for complex issues.
• Provide technical guidance and act as authority in the field.
• Develop standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.
• Balance technical objectives with cost and schedule considerations.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure compliant certification programs.
• Mentor junior staff on compliance requirements for major changes.
