Job summary

Conroe Independent School District is seeking a seasoned communications professional to lead district-wide writing, editing, and mass communications. You will ensure consistent messaging and brand standards across internal and external channels.

You will support the Executive Director of Communications, manage crisis communications, media relations, website content, and stakeholder messaging while coordinating with district leaders to verify accuracy and legal compliance.

Qualifications

  • Three or more years of professional experience in communications or related field.
  • Experience producing content for print, digital, executive, or organizational communications.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as lead writer and editor for District communications.
  • Write and edit news releases, media materials, announcements, and leadership communications.
  • Develop newsletters, talking points, speeches, and FAQs.
  • Create scripts for videos, presentations, and events.
  • Develop social media and campaign content with the Social Media Specialist.
  • Coordinate with district leaders to ensure accuracy and alignment with messaging.
  • Maintain crisis communication templates and respond during emergencies.
  • Administer the District’s mass communication system and publish district-wide messaging.
  • Train campus webmasters and review website content for accessibility and accuracy.
