Job summary

Thalle Construction Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager for our Austin, TX project.

You will lead commissioning activities for a wastewater treatment facility, develop startup plans, and coordinate between construction, engineering, and operations to ensure a smooth handover to operations. The role requires knowledge of SCADA systems, pre-commissioning and commissioning processes, and a PE license.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in the construction and operation of wastewater treatment plants.
• Knowledgeable in pre-commissioning and commissioning processes (e.g. functional testing, wet-run testing, and active operation).
• Knowledgeable in SCADA system integration, verification, and troubleshooting.
• PE License is required.
• Knowledgeable in the preparation and implementation of commissioning plans.
• Familiar with close-out documentation (O&M manuals, warranties).
• Familiar with construction scheduling practices.
• Ability to communicate and coordinate with owners, engineers, contractors, consultants and technicians.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of all commissioning activities for the wastewater treatment facility.
• Develop detailed startup and commissioning plans, procedures, and test protocols.
• Coordinate between construction, engineering, operations, vendors, and client for seamless transition from construction to operation.
• Supervise commissioning personnel, including technicians and vendors.
• Oversee inspections, checklists, testing, and performance verification.
• Identify and resolve issues in equipment installations and process systems during startup.
• Maintain records of commissioning activities and corrective actions.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Support operations manuals, SOPs, and operator training.
