What To Expect

Tesla's Fremont Factory Infrastructure team is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to oversee commissioning and startup activities for construction at Fremont Factory. The role involves developing and implementing Tesla’s commissioning framework, requiring high technical expertise, attention to detail, and team management skills.

What You'll Do
  1. Lead site commissioning activities by creating project-specific plans incorporating stakeholder requirements to ensure team success.
  2. Manage and communicate commissioning risks.
  3. Oversee schedules, costs, funding requests, and coordinate equipment and materials while maintaining budgets.
  4. Maintain documentation for commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with performance parameters.
  5. Monitor quality assurance, including installation, alignment, and equipment integrity.
  6. Ensure adherence to Tesla’s codes, standards, and specifications during mechanical commissioning.
  7. Prepare resources for commissioning, projecting needs three months in advance.
  8. Coordinate with the QA team for equipment inspections and hold team members accountable for schedules.
  9. Lead safety reviews and investigations, implementing corrective actions.
  10. Utilize your background in project management, equipment startup, construction, and utility systems to guide project teams and drive process improvements.
What You'll Bring
