Job summary

Roof Depot in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a Lead Roofing Technician to oversee commercial re-roof projects. You will lead a crew, ensure safety, quality, and on-time completion, and coordinate with project managers.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial roofing, 2+ years in leadership, the ability to read construction documents, strong communication, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. OSHA knowledge and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial roofing experience, incl. 2+ years in leadership.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, metal, built‑up, etc.)
• Lead, train, and mentor a roofing technician; ensure work is performed safely and efficiently
• Interpret project specifications, and manufacturer installation instructions
• Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
• Coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and other subcontractors as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation including job reports, timecards, and material usage
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment in safe working order
• Identify and troubleshoot roofing issues; propose effective solutions
